We operate two Waste Transfer Stations in the North West, and are able to take any non-notifiable dry waste into either site, although cement bonded asbestos is accepted at the Leigh site.
All waste received into the Waste Transfer Station is recycled with the following products being recovered from the waste stream.
Metals
Both Ferrous and Non Ferrous metals are recovered, either by magnet equipment or manually, and are then re-used or sold to trade users.
Wood
All wood waste is recovered

from the waste stream manually or by using hydraulic cranes, the material is then sold to trade users for woodchip etc.
Cardboard
Cardboard is removed manually from loads and is collected by a specialist recycler for use in the paper and board industry.
Aggregates
Hardcore, soil and stone are separated using screening equipment and re-used within various industries. |
